There are two models academic institutions use to award practioner licenses and education in licensed fields (e.g. law, medicine, therapy...). The first is the graduate model, where students pursue an advanced degree in their licensing field after completing an undergraduate degree in a different field. Under the graduate model, student apply and study in a designated school or institution for their field (e.g. law school, medical school...). The second model is the undergraduate model, where student pursue a skilled degree and practioner license as part of their first, undergraudate degree, as they would in any non-licensed field.
