There is a 12-year-old child born and raised in Tokyo.

They've always lived paycheck to paycheck with their mother, the only family they've ever known.

They recently found out that they were switched in the hospital as a baby, and that their real parents have been trying to get in touch with them for the past 12 years.

Their real parents are suburban middle-class convenience store owners in Columbus, Ohio, who have two kids the same age as them. The parents have mailed them a letter; inside it is a one-way ticket to Ohio.
